Advent

Advent is the period of four Sundays and weeks before Christmas (or sometimes from the 1st December to Christmas Day!). Advent means 'Coming' in Latin. This is the coming of Jesus into the world.

This Week we light the first Candle:

The first candle, which is purple, symbolizes hope. It is sometimes called the “Prophecy Candle” in remembrance of the prophets, especially Isaiah, who foretold the birth of Christ. It represents the expectation felt in anticipation of the coming Messiah.

You are Invited to join us daily for our Advent Song and Jesse Tree Reading

Each day during advent, immediately after attendance in the am 8:50 am the school will gather for 10min in the MPR. We will sing, "Violets in the Snow" and we will read the meaning of the Jesse Tree Symbol.

This is such a beautiful time as a school community. Please come in and join us. This starts December 2nd and goes until December 20th.
