Bring A Book Day Postponed
Since school was cancelled last Friday, we will be postponing Bring A Book Day until March 3. Instead of Valentine's Day, we will celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday! Track 2 students will have Bring A Book Day after they track back in, on March 14.
Please have your student bring in a gently used or new grade level book for their classroom libraries. We will have volunteers collecting any extra books we receive on both mornings. If you can help out from 8:30am-10am, please email Dawn Matta at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have already sent in your book, that is ok! Thank you!
Grade Night Out : Chipotle
Location: Kildaire Farm Rd & Wrenn Drive
Hosted by: 4th Grade
As always, we will have a game board for the children to enjoy. 100% of the proceeds from this activity come right back to the school!
1) Save the date for the next Grade Night Out Event!
Join us on March 27, 2014 at Panera
2) BRING THE RESTAURANT VOUCHER!
Most restaurants require us to bring a voucher to receive credit. If you do not bring the voucher, we do not receive credit. You can print a copy of the voucher from http://mcesptaforms.weebly.com/uploads/2/2/0/7/22076046/chipotle.pdf. Most often we cannot provide vouchers at the location; however, you may ask at the game board before placing your order.
So, tell your family, tell your friends, and bring your appetite to the participating restaurant on the designated date. We look forward to seeing you there!

PTA Positions for 2014-2015:
The success of the PTA has always been its strong leadership and hardworking members. This year we have several members of the Board of Directors stepping down to return to work, or because they are aging out of the school. We are currently looking to fill these positions with individuals who are interesting in continuing to move the PTA and its programs forward. Please contact AnnMarie Marchese and/or Kerri DeLair at MCESPTAnomcom2014@yahoo.com if you are interested a leadership or committee position on the PTA for the 2014-2015 school year.

Spanish Speaking Liaison Needed:
SIP would like to find a Spanish speaking Liaison that would be willing to be a contact for our Spanish speaking families. This individual would be available by phone or email to answer any questions or help translate for the families. Ideally, there would be one person for each track, but for now 1 would be great!
If you are interested, please contact Heather Lynch at firstname.lastname@example.org
School Store Needs Volunteers:
Tuesdays: K-2 kids welcome from 8:00-8:25am
Thursdays: 3-5 kids welcome from 8:00-8:25am
The school store sells little pencils, erasers, fun little school items for kids to purchase - prices range from $0.10 - $2.00, so kids can easily afford to buy something even with a little bit of pocket change. It is located at the end of the main hallway, adjacent to the 2nd grade hallway.
