Message From the Principal
What a great first 5 days we've had at school! The students were ready and seemed excited to be back in school with their friends. They may have been a little sleepy at first, but they'll get into the routine of coming to school quickly. They've really done a great job. We always spend the first few days "training" students on processes and procedures, and this year is no different with the need for training. This year, we are returning to a normal lunch period. Last year we had to spread the students out in the cafeteria and couldn't have them facing each other, etc. So, our first and second grade students had to be trained on the new lunch system. The third grade students hadn't gone through the lunch process since they were in first grade, so they had to be reminded. Today was a pretty smooth day in the lunch room after a few days of training.
We have a lot of new students as well, and they have acclimated to our school and have made friends already. Our students are great about welcoming new students and making new friends.
The parking lot (drop off and pick up areas) is running really smoothly as well. Thank you to all the parents who are taking their time in the parking lot. An injured child or worse is not worth the few seconds you might save by hurrying through the parking lot. School starts, and doors open, at 8:35 and ends at 3:15.
We already have some items in our lost and found. Please be sure to write your child's name on the tags on all of their coats, sweaters, etc. that they will be wearing to school.
I'm excited about this year and we're off to a great start!

These steps must be completed separately for each child.

Read and follow the detailed instructions there to:
Step 1. Verify or update your student and family information
Step 2. Verify your family’s military status (required by state legislature)
Step 3. Verify your student’s race/ethnicity fields (required by WA state)
Steps 4 - 11: Complete the online forms regarding technology, health, housing, transportation, parent handbooks, and picture consent.
Step 12. Submit to complete the process.
