Happy Holidays to Families 2022
Clarification on Digital Report Cards
Dear Trumbauersville Families,
As we come to the pause for the winter holiday break, we find ourselves reflecting on the start of the school year and the first academic trimester. There have been many things to celebrate as our students have been learning and growing through the first half of the year. Some of those included: Students' general progress in reading and writing; 5th Graders' study of the solar system and creation of various culminating projects; kindergarteners' work to understand holidays around the world; and our Student CPR Team leading our school community coming together to give back to our Quakertown neighbors through collections for the local food pantry and for residents of Belle Terrace.
Looking back in detail on individual student progress, our first-trimester report cards and our special education progress reports provided specific feedback about students' school performance. Since this year was the first year that we used the digital delivery of report cards vis SchoolMessenger, I want to remind everyone of how that process works.
Families do not log into PowerSchool to access the report cards. The reports are sent via SchoolMessenger as an email from the school district with a PDF attachment. Below is an image of what general message that is sent to the families. Then, when they click on the link for the download, a PDF version of the report card downloads for them. Where it downloads on their computer/device depends on their specific settings.
If you had any challenges with accessing the report cards, please re-check your email and reach out to Karla Lucabeche with other questions. We want to help families to navigate this system properly as we will continue to use this system going forward.
On behalf of our entire school team, I want to thank everyone for their continued support of our students and our school! And I want to wish you all a happy and healthy Holiday Season!
Best,
-Adam

Student CPR Community Service Project: Belle Terrace Nursing Home
Student CPR members spread holiday cheer to the local residents of Bell Haven Nursing Home this week. They delivered many gifts donated by Trumbauersville families and sang Christmas carols throughout the nursing home. The residents and staff were overjoyed and so grateful for the gifts and carols.

❄⛄❄WINTER READING CHALLENGE ❄⛄❄
Hello Trumbauersville Families,
Your child has an optional Winter Reading Challenge activity coming home for the winter break. It is a one-page bingo-style board where students will complete fun reading tasks and check off the box for each activity until they reach a “BINGO” either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Then, parents or guardians sign the form upon completion. Please have students return their signed paper to the library for one entry in the Winter Reading Challenge raffle.
More important than the raffle prize is the habit of reading. Reading is an essential skill for children to develop. How can you help your child build reading habits?
Read to them while they’re young. (Yes, 5th graders are still “young!”)
Share your own love of reading with them. Talk about book, magazines, newspapers that you are reading and that you want to read.
Model for them that reading is a lifelong skill.
Make reading a part of their bedtime routine.
Have a wonderful winter break and Happy Reading from your library.
