Arroyo Seco Jr. High School -- October 8, 2021
Hello Seco Families,
We now have 1 week left in the 1st quarter, which ends on October 15. Please encourage your students to do everything they can in their classes before their quarter grades become final. Parents, please also encourage your students to check their district email in-boxes regularly.
We will be participating in the Great Shakeout earthquake drill on Thursday, October 21 so students can practice the procedures to follow in the event of an emergency.
Due to the number of students placed in quarantine since August 10th, the District is providing a minimum day on October 29th to be designated as teacher work time for the purpose of completing any documentation associated with the short term independent study agreements.
Thank you as always for all of your support and have a fantastic weekend!
School Resource Officer Deputy Koch
Teenage Grief Group (TAG)
The counseling department is offering a teenage grief group (TAG). The purpose of the group is to help students process their grief by participating in various healthy activities with peers who are also experiencing loss. Students will meet weekly on a rotating time schedule. If your child has experienced a loss of a significant person in their life within the last few years and you would like your child to participate in this group, please email Baily Wagner, school social worker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Arroyo Seco Virtual Kindness Wall enables us to submit positive messages of encouragement and appreciation to our students, staff, and community.
