Winter Fun during Recess! If the temperature outside is above 20 degrees (F), with the wind chill, our students will have outdoor recess. Of course, if it is raining or heavily snowing, we stay inside. Please make sure your child has appropriate winter clothing for the colder school days ahead. Please try to label your students' gloves, hats and coats.

COVID Test Sent Home Today

Each student took home two boxes of COVID tests today. There are two tests per box. Families can use these tests at their discretion. EPS is NOT requiring negative tests to return to school after vacation. However, if your child does test positive for COVID during the vacation, please email our nurse team at rohealth@easton.k12.ma.us. This way all of our nurses at RO receive this information. Thank you.

You may have heard your student talk about "Holiday pROud Paws". They have been a big hit these past few weeks. When classrooms (teams) are showing our school constitution agreements they can be awarded a "pROud paw" by any staff member. This month, the top 11 classrooms that earn the most pROud paws receive a ticket to the "RO Movie Theater" in our cafeteria

and will be treated to a holiday movie, with popcorn, this Friday morning.

Fifth graders reading and jotting down their thinking to prepare for a class discussion. We heavily emphasize to our students that "Reading is Thinking" and we teach them how to think as they read. Comprehension and understanding happens most DURING our reading,

not after our reading. This is a priority for us in grades three, four and five.
