“One benefit of summer was that each day we had more light to read by.” — Jeannette Walls
Happy LAST week of school! We made it!
Thank you all for an INCREDIBLE year of LEARNING and FUN! I find myself thanking God every day for placing me at Parkside! I know this year has not been ideal, with me on maternity leave for so long, but the days that I was able to serve you and our community were nothing short of amazing...thank you for making my first year as a principal one for the memory books! I cannot wait to begin a new, whole, year with you all! Until then, have a very fun & relaxing summer break. You all deserve EVERY MINUTE!
With love,
Lauren :)

- All transportation changes must be called in by 9:45 am
- If you plan to pick up your child from school, you must be here to sign them out before 11:15 am.
Summer Learning Site! Share with Parents!
This website has been established to provide families with ideas on
how to keep kids thinking during the summer months.
Engage in a few activities or in all activities.
HAVE FUN!!!
Research shows that the summer slide in reading and math is real but preventable.
Engaging in mathematical thinking and reading activities can keep children from falling behind.

From Russell:
It's hard to believe that in two weeks it will be the end of the school year. As we finish up this year, I wanted to share with you what to do with the leftover soil for your grade level.
- Please return all garden soil, top soil, and potting soil to nature. This includes opened and unopened bags. All of these soils would be great additions to our garden. Do not send kids out there by themselves to add. Go as a class and make it fun.
- Please KEEP sand and aquarium gravel to be used next year. I only want to keep unopened bags. Be creative in how you distribute the opened ones back into nature. I will need counts for sand and aquarium gravel for each grade level by May 22nd Click here for the form to complete.
If you have any questions, please let me know!

Please consider submitting a session proposal by completing this Google Form:
2019 Conference - Call for Proposals by May 31st.
All sessions should align to one (or more) of the following strands:
