Gift Card Reuse Program

Did you know that used gift cards and old store rewards cards cannot be recycled in your curbside recycle bin? They have to go in the trash, which means these non-biodegradable cards add 75 million pounds of waste to our landfills. What can you do about this environmental issue? Drop your used gift cards or old store cards in the labeled container at the Collection Corner inside the front entrance of the school. The Green Committee and Recycle Brevard will be reusing the cards for crafts such as guitar picks and chalkboard gift tags. Types of cards accepted include gift cards, rewards cards, and hotel key cards.

INPUT NEEDED: Safe Routes to School Parent Survey

The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization needs your help to make students’ routes to school safer. Safe Routes to School programs aim to make it safer for students to walk and bike to school and encourage more walking and biking where safety is not a barrier. Not only does walking and biking to school limit traffic congestion, but studies also show that the exercise experienced by walking or bicycling to school helps students perform better on their school work.

We would like to hear your thoughts on walking and bicycling to school.

Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the Safe Routes to School Survey to help us improve your child’s route to school. Your input is so extremely valuable!
