Kasson-Mantorville Middle School
Flexible Learning Plan - Week 5
Message from Mr. Larsen
I am sure many of you are aware, but Governor Walz has extended Flexible Learning for all Minnesota schools until the end of the 2019-2020 school year. We were all hoping that we would get to see students back on May 5, but unfortunately, we will not be able to see that through. It is certainly difficult not seeing students walk the halls, participate in athletics and activities, and fill the building with excitement and energy. I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation for all that families have done during these challenging times.
May 1, 2020 and May 4, 2020
According to Governor Walz's Executive Order, school districts and charter schools must use May 1, 2020 and May 4, 2020 to plan for the extended Flexible Learning period, which will begin on May 5, 2020. As a result of this order, students will have no school on Friday, May 1 and Monday, May 4. Teachers will use Friday, May 1 and Monday, May 4 to plan lessons for the remainder of the school year.
Activities and Athletics
As a result of extending Flexible Learning, all activities and athletics have been canceled. Please know that all Spring Activity Fees will be reimbursed over the next couple of days. Should you have any questions, please call the Activities Office at 507-634-1105.
KMMS Flexible Learning Plans - Week 5
I have attached the weekly communication for Week 5 of Flexible Learning. Please click here to access next week's (April 27- April 30) lesson plans. Students need to continue to access each teacher's Google Classroom to access links, lessons, assignments, and assessments.
Thank you for your continued partnership with Kasson-Mantorville Middle School. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at 507-634-4030 or j.larsen@komets.k12.mn.us.
