Life and Ministry Update
Today I want to officially announce that I will be transitioning out of my position as head over the First Impressions Ministry to become the Small Groups Pastor here at ECC Central Valley. I want to assure you that I have not taken this transition lightly. I was not looking to transition. I believe God is orchestrating this, which means He’s also orchestrating something for the FIT ministry. This was not a surprise to God, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for all of you and the First Impressions Team at ECC Central Valley!
After one full year as head of the First Impressions Team I can honestly say that I have seen God do amazing things. As a team, we have welcomed hundreds and hundreds of guests through our doors, been a part of watching lives being changed, relationships built, and meaningful connections made! While I am excited about this new challenge and adventure as the Small Groups Pastor, I want to express my love for you and this team. It has been a privilege to serve alongside you and my personal walk with the Lord has been enhanced because of you.I truly believe that the best days for the FIT ministry are ahead.
The Transition
As I transition out, it is important to me that whoever replaces me has a heart to connect the unconnected and a passion to REACH people for Jesus with Love and Hospitality. God has blessed this church with great leadership and an incredible staff who share this passion, and so I am excited to share with you that Mary Reich will be transitioning into the role as head over the First Impressions Team. Mary and I have been in close communication in the weeks and months leading up to this transition, and she has shared her admiration for the FIT team, and I love her heart for REACHING people through this ministry. I am confident that under Mary’s leadership, the FIT ministry will continue to make a valuable impact for the Kingdom of Jesus.
Mary will begin to transition into this new role over the next few weeks with the goal to be fully in place by August 31st. Transitions have the potential to go really well or really bad. My prayer is obviously that this will be a really healthy transition. For this reason, I want to ask that you continue as normal and keep signing up to volunteer. Just because our team is going through a transition does not mean that guest stop coming and do not need your assistance. This team does such a wonderful job welcoming people into the church, please continue to do what you do best… Reaching people for Jesus with Love and Hospitality.
Please reach out to me with any questions or comments you have. Thank you.
