Students can work on their Bloom Balls and Memory Books independently.
At the end of the week, we will also live stream the award ceremony for student awards.
Hope to see you all there!
What Are We Learning About?
J-Term Math
This week, we will explore some of the Highest, Lowest, Hottest, Coldest and most extreme places in the world. We will use measurement to best understand and compare those places around the world. With that, we will take some virtual field trips to these places around the world!
Reading Groups
In our reading and writing time this week, we will be creating memory books from the school year. Not only will give us a chance to reflect upon the school year, it will also give us a space to encourage each other and wish our classmates a great summer before we end the year.
Summer School
FSA K-7 will be offering programs with a STEM and Environmental Ed focus during 2 week sessions this summer. Each session will be a separate sign up, and content will be created for the two weeks as a unit. Families may choose any/all of the sessions, and do not need to participate in one to attend another.
COVID guidance will be followed with group sizes, materials use, mask wearing, and social distancing per the MDH guidelines at that time.
Weekly field trips will be planned along with hands-on activities each day to enrich and sustain your students' skills this summer as well as give them a fun place to interact safely with classmates and staff.
Session 1:
June 14-18 & 21-25
Session 2:
July 12-16 & 19-23
Session 3:
August 2-6 & 9-13
Hours are 9am-1pm daily
All of this is offered at NO COST to Registered AFSA students! Let us know if this would be something you are interested in and use the comments box for any suggestions or questions you have. We will work on an FAQ document to address questions as needed. CLICK HERE to take the survey Please respond by April 25 to be included in planning.
