What we're doing in class this week...
ELAR: We are going to be exploring argumentative text. We will be identifying the claim, intended audience, opposing claims and evidence within the text. For vocabulary this week, our roots are " -ion, -ation, -sion, and -tion", meaning the act of, result of, or process of. Students see these a lot so make note of any connections in their everyday world!
Social Studies: We are going to diving deeper into the branches of government and how they were created in the constitution.
Math: We are starting our long unit on fractions. We will begin with modeling fractions to develop a strong foundation of the content. See your child's weekly Personal Learning Path (PLP) for more information. To see how your child is performing academically, feel free to check their "Progress Monitoring Sheet". You can also check the "Study Guide" BLEND page for tips on how to help your child in math.
