  • 6/1 - Disneyland

  • 6/2 - Last day of school! (Minimum Day)

Upcoming Disneyland Trip Clarification

We want to apologize for the miscommunication regarding our upcoming 8th-Grade Disneyland Trip. We have received a large number of waiver forms regarding the release of students. The intention of these forms is to accommodate those families who have extenuating circumstances and need to leave the park early.

All 8th graders must travel to and from Disneyland via school transportation unless they have been approved to leave early through my office.

The Disneyland ticket will still be valid until the end of Disneyland's park hours and you are more than welcome to take your wildcat back to the park once they are dropped off back at Pioneer around 6:30 PM.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and please reach out if you have any questions.

Waymakers Partners w/ Pioneer's PAL Program

Waymakers is a non-profit agency based in Orange County that helps build safer communities. Waymakers is part of the agency's PATH (Positive Action Toward Health) Program, which focuses on educating youth about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, as well as healthy alternatives to substance use. Earlier this year, Waymakers implemented their Too Good For Drugs curriculum at Pioneer in Ms. Connolly's 6th grade P.E. classes. They educated all 6th-grade students on topics such as goal setting, decision making, and peer pressure refusal in addition to drug education. As part of a grant funded by the Orange County Health Care Agency, Waymakers had the opportunity to collaborate with Pioneer's PAL class to plan and host a youth summit. Together, they facilitated a wonderful Youth-Led Summit for a group of Pioneer 6th and 7th-grade students.

Traffic/Parking Lots

We have had several close-calls and a recent accident in our upper parking lot. As a reminder, parents should not be pulling into the upper staff parking lot to drop off students. If you would like to park to drop off, please head to the lower parking lot.

Also, there should be no pick up/drop offs in the culdesac or along Pioneer Rd. Please ensure you are dropping off in the designated locations.
