TMS Athletics
November 6th, 2020
Hello Blue Devils!
Basketball season is quickly approaching! That being said, this newsletter is to provide information for home events; including purchasing E-tickets and Gym guidelines. So, please read carefully, and don't hesitate to send us questions!
I've also included the link for basketball sign-ups/try outs. 7th and 8th grade boys teams are already practicing. We are still taking signs ups for 6th grade boys, and 6/7/8 grade girls basketball. Middle school is a great time for students to tryout for a team, or explore a new sport/activity! So please, check in with your middle school student and get them involved.
More information about wrestling and swimming will be sent in another newsletter as we get closer to the season.
If you have any questions about anything 'TMS athletics', please email Mr. Leach (cleach@tcsc.k12.in.us) or Mrs. Whitesell (lwhitesell@tcsc.k12.in.us).
We ask that you remain patient with us as things can change quickly. Our goal is to provide as many athletic opportunities as possible while also keeping athletes, coaches, and fans safe!
Thank you,
Mr. Leach

COVID-19 Gym Guidelines
Move to E-Tickets: By purchasing E-tickets, the gate person can simply scan a ticket instead of handling money and handing each spectator a paper ticket. This should also speed up the process to enter; thus eliminating lines at the door.
Seating: Through guidance from the Tipton County Health Department, we will have every other bleacher marked as "Do Not Sit". Fans can help by sitting in only the rows that are open, spacing out, and only sitting with those from their household, or family group.
Masks: Masks should be worn at all times when attending an event except for short periods of time while eating and drinking.
Maximum Capacity: With guidance from the Tipton County Health Department, we have lowered the maximum number of tickets to be sold to each event to 250.
Hand Sanitizer: There will be hand sanitizer located at the entry of the gym. We urge all fans to wash their hands frequently while attending events.
Auxiliary Gym: We've worked with the high school athletic department to eliminate the use of the elementary gym for games. For game nights with multiple events, middle school teams may be scheduled in the High Aux gym.
Quick Exits: Fans will be urged to exit the gym immediately following the game. Players will not change in the locker rooms, and will be able to leave shortly after the conclusion of their game.

TMS Moving to E-Tickets!
This upcoming sports season, the TMS athletic department will begin accepting E-tickets.
The move to this style of tickets for a few reasons:
- Quicker Entry - E-tickets allow quicker entry into an event; which limits long lines forming;
- No Cash Exchanged - E-tickets eliminate the need to handle money, or give out paper tickets;
- Attendance tracking - This season there will be a maximum number of tickets sold for each event, based on guidance from the Tipton County Health Department, in order to promote social distancing.
If the tickets sell out, fans will be turned away. Games will be added to the store as the season progresses.
To purchase your E-tickets, please visit: https://rb.gy/2nwwx1
E-tickets can be printed on paper, or presented on a cell phone to scan at the door.
At this time, there will still be paper tickets available at the gate. However, our goal is to move entirely to E-tickets by mid season.
As always, we appreciate your support of our student athletes!
We DO NOT sell away game tickets. If another school is using E-tickets, we will send out information through Harmony and Social Media.
