STATIONS OF THE CROSS
CHRISM MASS
Our 8th Grade students represented ICCS at the Chrism Mass on Wednesday, held at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. During the Chrism Mass priests, deacons and representatives from the entire diocesan community gathered around Bishop Glenn John Provost, who blessed the Holy Oils for use in the coming year. Holy Oils are used for the Oil of the Sick, Oil of Catechumens and Sacred Chrism. Whenever the Holy Oils are used in the Diocese, the ministry of the Bishop who consecrated them is symbolically present.

CATHEDRAL RENOVATION UDATE
The Four Evangelists are now up on the crossing ceiling vaults! The four Evangelists were painted at the Conrad Schmitt Studios in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and shipped to Lake Charles. The symbols received a modeled, grisaille treatment based on Renaissance designs. The images are taken from the prophet Ezekiel's vision in which he saw four winged creatures supporting the throne of God. They had the face of a man, a lion, an ox and an eagle.
