Principal's Message
Dear Cougar Community,
It was great to be back in school this week and to start again with a regular routine. I am proud of our students and staff for continuing their great work as we start a new calendar year. I appreciate those who responded to our latest survey. It is important that we have all results so that we can make accurate decisions on how to move forward with school.
Your child will be taking a writing assessment next week. You received a large envelope at the distribution of school materials in December. This envelope contains the writing benchmark paper. If you are unable to find this envelope, please let your teacher know. If you did not pick up the school supplies in December, please call the school to schedule an appointment to come and pick them up.
All of the students at Cougar Elementary will be participating in a writing assessment. This writing assessment will help the teachers better understand your child’s writing ability. It is very important that your child complete this writing assignment independently, without help from parents or siblings. Your teacher will be sharing the day and time of the writing assessment.
We will be collecting the Writing Assessment at the food distribution on Tuesday, January 19 at the following times and locations:
9-11 at Cougar Elementary (via Cougar Court)
11:30-12:30 Manassas Park Community Center/Dog Park
1:30-2:30 at Sandstone Way and Manassas Drive
4:00 - 6:00 at Manassas Park Middle School
You may also drop off your child’s writing assessment at Cougar Elementary in a box labeled “Writing Assessment”.
11:30-12:30 Manassas Park Community Center/Dog Park
1:30-2:30 en Sandstone Way y Manassas Drive
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gwynn
