From Ms. Wood
Hello, Sutherland families!
I hope everyone was able to enjoy the nice weather today and get outside. It’s hard to believe that next week is our final week of student work. Many of the teachers have created smaller assignments for next week in order for students that are behind to have some extra time to get caught up.
As many of you are aware, Sutherland is moving forward with our Naming Review process. If you and your students have not voted yet, please click here to access the survey. We would love to have as much input as possible.
Have a great weekend!

Links for help During Closure:
- Looking for some ideas for your child to pass the time? https://wideopenschool.org/ has a list of resources for students. This link also has a list of STEM ideas your child may be interested in.
- Support C-Ville is a local site that has a terrific list of ways to help and ways to get help should your family be in need. This may be the best source for what is available in our local area.
- Here is a list of resources families may need here around town. The list is pretty extensive and also a bit out of date as it was put together prior to the crisis, so we will keep this as a running item as our needs are ever-changing. If you need any help from any of these agencies, I would call first as hours and resources available are also ever-changing.
- Albemarle County’s Webpage has a link to community resources for families who may need additional support during this time. Please click here to see the variety of resources offered to support families. In addition, the same site has some at-home learning resources available for parents and students in middle school.
