Hour of Code at Sonoran Foothills
Anyone can learn computer science!
Last year, over 66 million students across the globe participated in Hour of Code and engaged in opportunities to experience critical thinking skills. This year, our Bobcats (Kinder through 8th grade) will participate in a school wide Hour of Code! We look forward to bringing this opportunity to every student on December 10th and we hope they come home sharing their experience with you. Let's Code!
*You can visit code.org for more information on coding.
Student Technology Updates and Reminders:
Please continue to work with your student and support him/her in caring for his/her device (Chromebook). It is good to provide frequent reminders about taking good care of our chromebooks and chargers because these are such valuable learning resources. In an effort to help with this process, see the information below about a mid-year technology check-in happening in December:
We will have a mid-year tech review for grades 4-8 on Monday, December 6. Students will need BOTH their device AND power cord. There have been some mix-ups between students. Likewise, we believe students may not have the correct power cord for their device. Please help your student find any missing power cord over the break. Thank you!
