Weekly Update
September 19, 2016
The online portfolio program is up and running. Mrs. Smartnick will oversee this exciting new endeavor for all JHS students. She is currently working with seniors in her Personal Finance class. The remaining students will be brought in during 8th period for orientation of the portfolio and the program that will be used. I have seen a couple of portfolios that are under development and they look great. The portfolio will allow students the ability to show their skills and talents in a broad range of fields.
The fall sports programs have started the year with great success. The football, volleyball, and cross country teams have competed well, and the cheerleaders and band have provided great support and displayed awesome school spirit. Keep up the great work.
The new entry should be ready this week and is a welcome addition to the building. Not only will it look better, but it will increase energy efficiency. If you haven't noticed, the football field has a new scoreboard and we are working to get permanent banners to display in all the communities that serve Jefferson High School District #1.
Again, if they are any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the District Office.
