Message from Principal Drew...

We are looking forward to a fun spirit week this week as we celebrate Homecoming on Friday at the football game. We will recognize some of our best dressed students and staff for each day for their creativity to match each theme.

The themes for each day this week are:

Tuesday: Jersey Day or Bikers vs. Surfers Day (dress in your favorite jersey or leather jackets and Hawaiian shirts)

Wednesday: Pajama or Adam Sandler Day( dress in baggy clothes or as an Adam Sandler character)

Thursday: Throwback Day (Dress in your best 70's, 80's or 90's outfit)

Friday: Black and Gold Day (show your school spirit by dressing in black and gold)

We encourage each of our students to get involved with Spirit week which will culminate with a pep rally on Friday with games and fun for all.

This week will be a short week at PCHS:

Monday - Optional Teacher Workday. No school for students. Soccer will pay at Gates.

Tuesday - Seniors, this is the deadline to submit your Meningococcal Vaccine documentation to Nurse Goetsch. Volleyball will host South Creek at 5:00 PM.

Please contact your healthcare provider or local health department to schedule a time for your child to receive these vaccines. Please let us know if we can assist you in making these arrangements.

College Center with Ms. Gray...

It is college application season! Ms.Gray, the College and Career Advisor, will continue meeting with seniors 1:1 to discuss their post graduation plans. Seniors stop by guidance to pick up a paper copy of the Residency Determination Service (RDS), if you are interested in attending college.

Looking for ways to help fund college? Check out the Scholarship Spreadsheet for a list of four year full ride, national, state and local scholarships.

Looking to keep track of your Colleges Admission Deadlines? Check out CFNC's Application Deadline Document, which lists all 111 partner college application deadlines. See attached document for the complete list.

It is never too early to get a jump on the college search process. On November 4th, UNC- Chapel Hill's Order of the Bell Tower will be hosting a Shadow Day, where students will have the opportunity to attend a class with a UNC student, take a tour, eat in our dining hall, and learn more about Carolina and college life. This year’s program will take place on November 4th from around 9 AM to around 4 PM. A continental breakfast and lunch in one of our dining halls will be provided for students and their parents/guardians they bring with them. They will be given many resources throughout the day, such as an Admissions and Financial Aid presentation. Attending this event is completely free! All students will need is an adult to accompany them and transportation to and from UNC-CH.
