2015 Teaching and Learning Conference-Registration is Open!
This year Gwinnett County Public Schools will host the first annual summer conference for Teachers--bringing together the following multiple content areas, grade levels and special populations:
Language Arts
Special Education
Assessment
Math
English Language Learners
Science
Accelerated Programs and Gifted Education
Social Studies
Academies and Career and Technical Education

Why Should I Participate?
The Teaching and Learning Conference provides an opportunity to create common knowledge / language for all GCPS teachers to ensure fidelity of instructional implementation at the school level.
Participant Outcomes:
To deepen teacher content and pedagogical knowledge to identify appropriate instructional practices.
To provide relevant tools and resources to immediately implement in the classroom.
To increase ability to use technology tools to enhance instruction.
To promote engagement and connect with students and peers.

Beyond the Core Staff Development during Pre-Planning SY 2015-2016:
The Curriculum and Instruction team will be offering pre-planning staff development sessions for our teachers who work in the beyond the core areas (Fine Arts, Health/PE, Foreign Language, ESOL, Special Education, Gifted, and CTE) on August 5 at the following times:
Middle School/High School Teachers - morning session (8:00am - 12:00pm)
Elementary Teachers - afternoon session (1:00pm - 5:00pm)
The specific location and session information will be provided in a subsequent message.
