Re-Enrollment for Current Students

Students who currently attend Frontier Schools and plan to return for the 2022-23 school year are exempt from the admission lottery if they notify the school of their intent to return by January 21, 2022.

Due to limited space for the upcoming year, we ask each parent/guardian to fill out this online re-enrollment form completely. This application form is designed for students who are currently enrolled. Frontier Schools Receives Grant to Purchase 1,600 Chromebooks

Frontier Schools is very excited to announce that we have received a grant from the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) Program which is administered by USAC with oversight from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for 1,180 Dell Chromebook 3100 for 4th-12th graders and 420 Dell Chromebook 3100 2-in-1 for Pk-3rd graders. The ECF Program provides funding to help schools and libraries keep students, staff, and patrons connected during the COVID-19 health emergency.

Chromebooks will be distributed to each student's home for accessing school programs, applications, etc. Parent pick up arrangements will be communicated soon.

Innovation Lab Progress

Frontier Schools’ is currently building a modern, state-of-the-art Innovation Lab on the first floor of their Central Office building.

The goal is to build a strong, authentic knowledge-based theory to applied skills in STEM education, ensuring Frontier’s high school graduates will be prepared to enter collegiate level science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs with the skills to succeed on day one.

Anticipated completion is late March, 2022. Check out the progress!

Vaccine Clinic at FSI Middle

On December 10th, Frontier Schools hosted their 2nd vaccine clinic at FSI Middle. A huge shoutout to the City of Kansas City, MO., Health Department for coming out and providing COVID-19 and flu vaccinations to our Frontier Family! Many of our students, parents, and staff received their shots that day.

FSI Adopt A Family Program

FSI had an amazing turnout for the Adopt A Family Program this year. They were able to adopt 18 full families with a total of 85 children and adults. Each individual received at least 4 gifts. FSI was overwhelmed with the generosity of staff, friends, and the community. Multiple staff also contributed by purchasing from their Amazon list and they had many staff who adopted families as well.

A special shoutout to Mr. Art and his church, Ms. Martin and her family and small group, Ms. Block and her family, Ms. Patton and her family, Ms. Wyzard, and Ms. Edmonds for all adopting a family.

FSI is extremely grateful for everyone who adopted a family, bought a gift, shared about the program, and supported the program.

FSE Adopt A Family Program

FSE is extremely thankful to all of the donors that supported their Adopt A Family Program.

Because of the overwhelming generosity, FSE was able to adopt 32 families for Christmas, which included 128 children and adults. Several donors have supported FSE throughout the years and they had several new ones join them this year.

A huge shoutout and thank you to St. Thomas Aquinas Rugby Team, Park University Athletic Department, Premier Family Chiropractic, Cleveland University-Kansas City, Principal Financial, BNI, Bergman Incentives, Benn Family, Kuntz Family, Walter Family, Mr. Kilic, Ms. Daniela, Ms. Natalia, Ms. Denisse, Ms. Littlepage, Mr. Joey, and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for donating 11 Christmas meals to our families,

Winter Parties at FSI Elementary & Middle

On Friday, December 17th, FSI Elementary and Middle School closed out the first semester with a Winter Party. Students enjoyed some yummy holiday treats while participating in several fun games and activities.

Boys & Girls Basketball Season at STEM High School

Basketball season is in full swing at Frontier STEM High School. Both the boys and girls teams are working hard to improve each game. Way to go Panthers! Keep up the good work!

FSI Elementary Performs "Flakes" Musical

On December 14th, FSI Elementary 2nd graders put on a fun and festive "Flakes" Musical for their families and friends. Students dressed up as snow flakes or in their favorite holiday outfit to perform winter songs, including "Cold Snap", "We're Flakes", "SNIRT", "Nothing Special" and "One in a Million"! A sure way to get everyone in the holiday spirit!

FSE Winter Band Concert

On December 9th, FSE Middle and High School bands performed an amazing concert for friends, family and staff in the school's gymnasium.

Virtual Home Visits

Teachers and school staff have virtually visited 222 students in 190 homes since the start of the 2021-22 school year.

Home visits, whether virtual or in-person, are paramount in bridging cultural gaps that might exist. These visits also provide opportunities for staff to understand their students better by visiting them in their home environments.

Inclement Weather Procedure

During inclement weather, Frontier Schools will implement a school closing policy to ensure the safety of our students.

Students may be released early or classes may be canceled entirely due to inclement weather. Please be familiar with the following information sources in the event of school cancellations, early releases or late starts.

Channels of Communication:

1. School Website:

Please check your school's website for information regarding school closings and other cancellations within minutes of a decision.

2. School Messenger:

Phone and optional voice/text messages are sent to school families when classes are cancelled, delayed or students are released early.

3. Social Media:

We will post information on the Frontier Schools District Facebook and Twitter pages.

4. Radio & TV:

Local Stations share announcements on-air and on their websites.
