Grain Fundraiser to Benefit the Community Garden
· The Gilbert Education Foundation facilitated their third annual grain fundraiser to benefit the VoAg/FFA “Community Garden”. Over 725 bushels of corn & beans have been donated by area farmers, along with $600 in cash donations over the last 3 years. The funds raised go to support the infrastructure for the Community Garden. The community garden, with the help of Gilbert Students, have produced pounds & pounds of produce which is donated to the local food pantry each year. What an amazing experience for the students and for the community! It is a wonderful way for students to give back to their community.
