Student Weekly Newsletter
We are now half way through May and the long Memorial Day weekend this week. We know that distant learning has been challenging for many of you but know that we are proud of the work you are doing. Don't lose your motivation after the long weekend, stay strong, keep focused, and carry on!
4 DAY WEEKEND: You have FRIDAY and MONDAY OFF!! You don't have to do any Zooms those days or school work! Enjoy the time off!
CLASS PARTICIPATION: Please make sure you are turning in the work teachers assign and attending Zoom meetings. When we put attendance in on Monday, that attendance reflects the week before. Keep up the hard work, Falcons!
WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO WORK ON THIS WEEK?
We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. This week we have a few resources we wanted to share that we hope will make this time a little less difficult!
One thing that has been increasingly hard to do is keeping teenagers busy and active during a time where they're at home all day. Here's a fantastic article with ideas for your bored teen! https://www.seattletimes.com/life/activities-to-keep-teens-engaged-while-schools-are-shut-during-the-coronavirus-pandemic/
The Bethel Community Services received funding from The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation to help with the impact of COVID-19 in our area. They elected to have individuals submit applications requesting financial assistance. Once they receive the application, it will be reviewed and funding will be awarded pending board approval. Below is the link to the application.
We also have a comprehensive list of resources (food banks, financial support, etc.) on our FMS Counselor website at: https://www.bethelsd.org/Page/5546
