Tone and Word Choice
In Prayer to the Pacific the author tries to Convince the reads to keep the ocean clean. In Sleeping in the Forest the choice of the authors words are calm.
Figurative Language
In Prayer to the Pacific the personifications are EX: Big as the myth of origin, Speak to the ocean, and Grandfather Turtle. In Sleeping in the Forest the author makes a imagery which is either you think that the girl is in a deep sleep or the girl is dead.
Form and Structure
In Prayer to the Pacific The lines are structured to kinda look like a wave. In Sleeping in the Forest the poem is kinda in one stanza.
