MARCH MADNESS IS HERE! Bring your Playing Cards!
During the month of March we will be playing Math Card games across classes and grades to see who will be the champion at Multiplication Madness in grades 3-5! (Winner will challenge Mrs Hickey!) Here's how it works.. .if you want to start practicing: For two players: Divide all cards up. Each player turns over a card at the same time. The first one to guess the product wins that hand: For example: Players turn over 6 and 7; first one to say 42, wins that hand. The winner is the first one to get all the cards. Picture Cards are worth 10 (Jack, Queen, King) Aces are worth 11.
* Grades k-2 can use card values to practice addition and subtraction. This is a fun way to practice math facts and support automaticity. Enjoy!
