Induction Ceremony
Frontier Charter School is thrilled to welcome each of the students recently inducted into our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and National Honor Society (NHS)! These students demonstrated leadership skills found in the five foundational pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship. The principles found in these pillars are transformative keys that unlock potential, enhancing every student’s educational journey, ultimately empowering them to make profound, enduring contributions to our world. We are exceedingly proud of Frontier's inaugural Class of 2024 for NJHS and NHS!

FEBRUARY
An update for the next month!
To the Frontier Charter School Student Body:
Hi there! My name is Johanna, and I am a high school Senior at Frontier. Right now, I’m serving as Senior Representative for Frontier’s student government. I wanted to take a moment and talk to you about student government, and to give you an update on what we’ve been doing this February and our plans for March. Also, make sure you stay tuned throughout the rest of the school year, because we have a lot coming up, and you won’t want to miss out on anything!
Student government is a new program being offered at Frontier this year. It is a place where you can become a leader and take on the responsibility of managing events, activities, policies, and programs at your school. All meetings are open to the public, and any high school students attending Frontier can become members! We meet at the Frontier office in Anchorage every Friday at 10am.
Accomplishments
This month, we helped at the NHS Induction, and went to the leadership summit at Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School.
News
This month, our very own vice president, Asa Utic, was selected as a delegate for ASD’s prestigious annual legislative fly-in! Asa went to Juneau on February 9th to represent Frontier and all of ASD before our state’s legislature!
Also, we are excited to announce that a year-end event is in the works! Stay tuned for more information as we approach the end of the school year!
I hope to see you all at some of our meetings this month, you’re always invited! We meet at the FCS office every Friday at 10am. As always, reach out to our advisor, Mrs. Kress, at kress_teresa@asdk12.org to join student government, and make sure to follow us on Instagram for more news @frontiercharterschool.
Sincerely,
Johanna Sims, Senior Representative
