Dementia Journeys
2nd Annual Dementia Roadshow #DementiaJourneys
Dementia Journeys
Thursday, Sep 3, 2015, 10:30 AM
Spartans Community Football Academy, 92 Pilton Dr, Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Edinburgh - Our lives, Our stories, Our way
People living with dementia and their family carers want to change the conversations about dementia. They want people to know that dementia is about more than having memory problems and to raise awareness that there are lots of different types of dementia (over 100 at the moment and increasing!).
Come along and hear their inspirational stories and join in the discussion. We will also be joined by Cornerstone who will be sharing their experience of providing alternatives to traditional models of day care for people living with dementia and sharing details of their project which is helping families to make simple changes to their environment to overcome sensory perception challenges created by dementia.
These events are free thanks to the generous sponsorship of
Dundee United FC http://dufc.co/
Studio LR in Edinburgh http://www.StudioLR.com
However there will be a £50 admin fee charged if you book a space which you do not then use or cancel within 48 hours of the event taking place. We expect a high demand for these events and feel it would be unfair on others if places go unused.
