News from around the District:
- We are excited to announce that Cortney Gantt has been selected to be the first principal of Starkey K8, which is set to open to students in August 2021. Our Starkey K8 Implementation Plan calls to have the principal named in July 2020, allowing for critical decisions to be made in coordination with the school leader throughout the planning year, with the principal position becoming effective January 2021. Cortney will remain as principal at her current school, Seven Springs Middle School, throughout the first semester of the 2020 – 2021 school year, with a replacement being named before her departure in January. Please join us in congratulating Cortney on her upcoming K8 venture.
- We are excited to have Vicki Wollin join the District leadership team as the Director of Early Childhood Programs. She will be taking over for Angela Porterfield who is retiring in August. Join us in saying farewell to Angela on an amazing career and hello to Vicki in her new role.

Office Staffing Sign-Ups- WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!!!!!
As a reminder we will need one support staff member and one administrative/admin pro-tech staff member on site each day in Building 2 and 3 beginning next week. Use this spreadsheet to sign up to assist us in tracking who will be signing up as well as keeping it to 10 people or less overall in each building. We appreciate those willing to cover days as available. If you are uncomfortable or unable to return or support the coverage at this time, please email Lea Mitchell. We are working to support everyone on our team and will aim to do everything we can. If you are currently unable, due to underlying conditions or risk factors or are feeling uncomfortable with a return to work, even with masks and appropriate social distancing, please email Lea Mitchell so that she can be certain to plan accordingly and have awareness of everyone's needs at this time. If you have already emailed her and expressed your return needs, no need to do it again.
