Welcome back! I hope everyone got a chance to relax over the break. April is going to be busy! We will begin prepping for our final project this year--Ted Talk speeches! Students will research and prepare a speech on a topic of their choice to present to the class.

Robotics Team
About Campus Robotics:
Campus Robotics is part of our Engineering career pathway, which focuses on immersing students in design careers and skills. Students will learn and apply the engineering process and teamwork to design, build and program a robot to compete in the VEX Robotics Competition. Students will attend and compete in various local and regional events against other robotics teams in the Pikes Peak Robotics league and tournament play. In addition, students will explore and learn about career opportunities in robotics, engineering, and automation and how the skills they gain through competitions can apply to their careers.
If your student is interested in participating in the Robotics program, please complete this form so we can know how many teams we need to prepare for: Pre-Register for the Robotics Team
Robotics Info MeetingIn order to participate and compete, there are various commitments outside of class time, including one Saturday per month. We invite you to attend our Robotics Info meeting to check out some of the robots, drive them around the campus, and learn about the out-of-class time requirements to ensure that the Robotics team is a good fit for your family.
The Info Meetings will be right after school at 3:15 to 3:45 on Monday, May 15, and Tuesday, May 16. Remember, these are for students/parents NEW to the Robotics Team.
Next Steps:
1. Fill out the form above.
2. Attend one of the two Robotics info meetings.
3. If the commitments work for you and your student agrees, we will have several forms for you to complete after the meeting.
4. We will hand off your info to counseling so that they can get your student officially scheduled!
5. There will totally be robotics over the summer - check your email for upcoming opportunities.
