Music is Life
Celebrating the beauty of music to enlighten and inspire.
Why choose music?
Music has many benefits that we cannot ignore. Being involved in music can greatly improve your mental and emotional health, improve your social life, and help you in school. With studies still being done, we don't know that full benefits. Yet the facts we found are outstanding.
Music teaches discipline. You must have discipline to practice on a regular basis and learn music. The same with dedication. To master an instrument and go to performances take dedication. Music can be tough and enhance those traits (Children's Music Workshop).
Children who are involved in musical activities have more advanced literary skills. It can help with reading and writing skills, while improving SATs scores. Mastering an instrument can also make it easier to learn a second language. There are many benefits from music, and there is still tests being done (Do Something).
Music programs in school raise graduation rates by 18 percent. Not only that, Students had "the lowest lifetime and current use of substances" when in music (Do Something). Music programs help get lives on track to a point where we must display them (Do Something).
Performing a musical instrument or singing in a choir can help conquer fear. It allows you to become more comfortable in crowds and handle stressful situations (Children's Music Workshop).
Is Music Popular?
82 percent of Americans wished they had learned a musical instrument while 85 percent say music plays a huge role in their lives. Music is well sought after in the United States. With Music is Life we hope to lower the number of people wishing they had learned an instrument and raise the percent of people who believe music is important (AM Parents).
