Message from Principal Paige

Hello from ACMA March 2021

Parent Equity Team - March 3rd 9am

Our ACMA Parent Equity Team will meet again on Wednesday, 3/3, from 9:00-10:00 am. We will discuss how best to support ongoing anti-bias/anti-racism work going on at ACMA (including supporting our Student Equity Team and Staff Equity Team), talk about equity issues in our school community, and learn from each other as we work to create an ACMA that is affirming, supportive, and respectful to all. The Zoom link will be sent out via parent email.

Student Connections - March 3rd 12pm

On Wednesday, March 3rd from 12-12:30pm, we will be hosting a Zoom for all students who want to meet new friends and make connections with other ACMA students. We are also asking ACMA students who wish to welcome new students to join us as part of our "welcoming team". Whether you are new to ACMA, just want to meet new people, or want to help welcome students to our school, this is the place to be! Hope to see you there! The Zoom link is on the Canvas Calendar.

Virtual Friday Coffee with the Principal

Hoping you can join Principal Paige for Friday's Virtual Coffee this Friday, March 5th at 9am. A Zoom Meeting Link will be sent to you via email on Thursday.

Yearbook Sales

Don't miss out! Like everything else this school year, the opportunity to purchase a yearbook looks a little bit different. This year, yearbooks can be purchased through the office or through the online district payment system at a set price of $50. Books WILL SELL OUT. Please do not wait until the last minute to buy a book or there will not be one for you to purchase.

NHS - Mentorship Program

National Honors Society (NHS), a group for students dedicated to serving the ACMA community in the 10th - 12th grades, have come together to create the Mentorship Program for new students at ACMA who want to make more connections within the ACMA community. The idea is that NHS high school students would be given the names of a few new students that they can email once a week or so to check in, answer questions about the school, classes, homework, and we hope to host zoom meetings with everyone in the future!

It's important to connect with new ACMA students who may be feeling lost in this new environment. If you are interested in joining please CLICK HERE and have this filled out by March 8th. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the NHS advisor, Beth Deal, at beth_deal@beaverton.k12.or.us

We look forward to connecting with our new ACMA students!

ACMA Parent Mixer - Mon March 15th at 9am

On Monday, 3/15, we will host our next ACMA Parent Mixer. While “First Friday” Coffee with the Principal is more of a place to get information and then ask questions of the principal, this mixer gives parents an opportunity to talk with each other. After a short welcome parents will divide into breakout groups and have some time to connect, share stories, and have the kinds of conversations that would otherwise happen more naturally when we’re on campus. Can’t make the morning time, no problem. We’ll do another Parent Mixer on March 29th at 7:00 pm. Zoom links will be sent out via parent email.

Spring Break Week of March 22nd

De-stress with a few days off of school. Enjoy the outdoors, maybe a road trip? Stay safe!
