Week of Fun
On Monday, June 5, Central Valley is going on an all school field trip to SPLASH in Springfield. We plan to be in the cars and ready to leave right at 9 am, to make our 10 am swim time. We will be swimming from 10:00-12:00 pm with lunch right after, please pack your child a sack lunch.
Tuesday, June 6 is our annual Track and Field Day. Central Valley will be heading over to LBCC at 9 am, the school will be there until about 11:30. After the fun activities at Linn Benton we will head over to Timberlinn Park in Albany for a picnic lunch and fun park activities. We will be back to school by our 3:30 pm dismissal time.
Lastly, on Wednesday, June 7th we will head over to Quail Run at 2:00 pm for an outreach planned by our wonderful music teacher Ms. T.
Thank you to all who are able to help drive and chaperone the children for these activities. This fun week would not be possible with out all your commitment. Thank you!
Character quality of Jesus * Eternal Thinking
Thanks for all of your support this year as we've reinforced what we hope are eternal qualities. We've certainly seen a greater awareness from kids of what it means to share examples of Jesus with those around us. We hope you have too.
Grades K-1 * Mrs. Bates
This week we are working hard to finish the things we have not yet wrapped up. But most of all, we are enjoying our week of "lasts" - last "Monday is for remembering," last CAFE, last memory verse, last letter of the week, last Fun Friday (just to name a few).
Next week will have a few special surprises in it, so each "last day of the last week" is important in its own way. Thank you in advance to the parents/grandparents that are planning to help out with our different events.
Friday (tomorrow):
Letter "Bb"
Memory verse: If Christ's love has made any difference in your life, then do me a favor: love each other. Philippians 2:1 (MSG)
Next Week:
Graduation - Wednesday at 6:30pm; Invite your special family and friends to celebrate. Both grades (K and 1) will be involved in this special event.
Grades 5 - 8 * Mr. La Sage
Next week we'll see the 8th grade boys graduate. These are three guys who, with the exception of one year for one of the students, have been at CVCS since preschool, 10 years ago. Pretty impressive commitment from these families.
