A Message from the School Nurse
Please remember to keep your child home when sick as a head cold can be very challenging when wearing a mask, so give your child a day to recuperate.
When to get your child tested for COVID-19:
- If your child has a fever (temp >100)
OR
- If your child has two or more of these symptoms: cough, congestion, sore throat, headache, stomach ache, nausea, vomiting.
A negative test or an alternative diagnosis from a physician are required for your child to return to school.
When reporting an absence due to illness please let me know your child's symptoms. It is not sufficient to say absent for sickness.
There are currently no travel restrictions.
Remote learning is ONLY available if your child has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is in quarantine for COVID-19 exposure that we have communicated about.
Please remember to send in a water bottle with your child as wearing a mask all day can be very dehydrating.
Congratulations, Washington!
