News You Can Use
December 14, 2021
Every December, the RES PTA has the distinct pleasure of expressing our immense gratitude to our staff of teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and custodial staff by providing a catered, hot lunch with an exciting raffle to bring even more fun to the day! You may have seen the sign up genius this week to contribute drinks, treats and gift cards for the raffle (click here to learn more). Your support is greatly appreciated! Our Staff Appreciation efforts are a prime example of your PTA dollars at work.
There are more ways to support the RES PTA this holiday season! Memberships are still available! By purchasing your membership now, you will be eligible for some really fun, family focused, members only events in January. Next, don't forget to select RES PTA on Amazon Smile and we'll be gifted a portion of your Amazon purchases- more info on that below. One last reminder that our RES Spirit Store is open year round at resctpta.membershiptoolkit.com/spiritwear. There you'll find great cold weather gear and cool gifts for yourself and your kiddos!
Thank you for your incredible support this year! We can't wait to present our awesome line up of in-school assemblies and extra-curricular fun coming this Spring, all funded by your PTA contributions.
Cheers,
Meredith and Angela

Frosty Drive Extended Through Tomorrow!
It's not too late to donate! The Frosty Drive has been extended through Wednesday, December 15th!
Every holiday season the RES PTA hosts an annual Frosty Gift Drive. The drive allows members of our community to donate gifts to organizations within our extended community. This year, the RES community will support the Boys and Girls Village in Milford, Kids in Crisis in Cos Cob and Redding Social Services.
If you are interested in giving this season, please visit the link below where you will be brought to a Sign-Up Genius with links to each organization's wish list. Thank you for your support!

Madeleine Baker - General & Choral Music
I grew up in Hackettstown New Jersey and received my undergraduate degree at Moravian College in May of 2021. While at Moravian, I completed my bachelors of music with a pre-K through 12 certification in music education.
Things I Love To Do:
- Hiking
- Playing ukulele,
- Learning how to distance run.
- Playing with my cat Callie.
Why Did I Choose Teaching?
I chose teaching as my career because of how rewarding the profession is. Though I have wanted to be a teacher my whole life, I discovered my passion for music by learning the clarinet. I love teaching those around me through the platform of music education.
I am enjoying getting to know all of the wonderful students at RES. I am a first year teacher who is dedicated towards making the school year positive, fun, and musical for all of the students.
