Whitford's Weekly Update

This video is a great example of the excitement kids get from creating and making. I love to see the surprise and excitement on this kid's face when the experiment succeeds!

Housekeeping, Odds & Ends

Teacher Appreciation Week - is coming up next week, May 4th - 8th. I know the district has a little something planned for each day as will I. I plan on having lunch provided for each building on Thursday, April 7th, but we will also have some special fun days throughout the week. Just my way of thanking all of you, for all you do. You all do an amazing job of working, caring for and helping our students learn each and every day.

Miller Staff Meeting - I really don't have too much on the agenda for our April 28th meeting, so I thought we would just quickly talk about a couple of things and then anyone who wants to stick around and work on artifact uploads or writing an evidence statement for an artifact could do that with my help and any EE coaches that are available. My guess is the meeting should only last about 10 minutes and then we can move onto EE work for those interested.

Field Trip Food Requests - A quick follow up to the earlier field trip email, please email both Sue Paulis susanpaulis@tomah.k12.wi.us and Jesse Bender jessebender@tomah.k12.wi.us with all field trips lunch requests. When you return from your field trip please discard all food in the coolers and return the coolers to the kitchens.

Educator Effectiveness - don't forget to begin working on uploading artifacts into Teachscape. If you have questions, feel free to refer to one of your Educator Effectiveness Coaches, myself, or the Smore I sent out with many video links.

A very cool video on how one Teacher changed her Strategy for teaching Math......and it has made all the difference! Nope, not a book.....or a device.
