A Message from Mrs. Hoke

Dear Penny Road Families,

Thank you for your extraordinary kindness and warm generosity this holiday season. Because of your support, we were able to help many families during this holiday season. It warms my heart to know that we have such a wide community of support that embodies the philosophy that, "Other People Matter." In addition, thank you to families that have sent in treats to the front office staff. We have really enjoyed ourselves or shall I say, indulged ourselves in all of the treats given to us. So, on behalf of Penny Road Elementary School, I would like to wish each of you a safe and happy holiday season and to say thank you.

Whatever is beautiful. Whatever is meaningful. Whatever brings you happiness. May it be yours this holiday season and throughout the coming year.

With Warm Regards,

Mrs. Hoke

Happy Holidays from Our Home to Yours

From the Desk of Student Support

Dear PRES School Community,

On behalf of the student services department, I want to thank you for your generosity during this holiday season. Our Giving Tree Gift Card Drive was a HUGE success! This remarkable school community continues to demonstrate compassion and love for all students. This year is a different kind of year, as you all know. ALL families have been impacted by this pandemic in some way, but for some, it has been extremely difficult. Because of your generosity, we have been able to come alongside families and ensure that each of our treasured Pandas will have a gift and a warm meal during the holiday season. I honestly love you all and I am so thankful to be your school counselor. I wish you and yours the best as you get cozy up with your families during the winter break.

This week the hospitality team treated the staff and teachers to lunch (catered boxes) and a $30 credit through Scholastic Books as a small thank you for all they are doing this year.
The hospitality team has a monthly plan to thank the teachers and staff including a week-long virtual Staff and Teacher Appreciation event in February. More information to come from the hospitality team after the break.
