Rocks Versus Minerals
The definition of rocks is a material on the surface of the Earth and other planets. Some of there characteristics are naturally formed, made up of multiple minerals they are also solid.
Minerals though is defined as an organic material that is made by natural occurrence. Characteristics of minerals are forms in nature, is solid, has one chemical makeup, and has a crystal structure. Beryllium is mad into fluorescent lamps and computers.
Mineral Examples
Aluminum is used to make aluminum foil and cans. Antimony is made into fireworks and rubber. Barium is mad into ink on paper. Bauxite turns into aluminum. Chromite is used in stainless steel products. Cobalt is used in aircraft gas turbine engines. Copper is made into electrical wiring. Gallium is turned into LED's. Gold is smelted to make fine jewelry. Auto parts are created from iron ore. The acid in batteries is made from lead. Lithium is used in glass. Manganese is used for the production of steel and iron. Nickel is key for stainless steel.

Coal is a very big producer of power for the world. Limestone is used in fiberglass. Shale is used for brick and cement. Sandstone is used mainly for construction. Granite is used for ornamental cement. Pumice is used in soaps. Gabbro is used in black granite. Basalt is made into aggregate. Schist is used as building stones. Gneiss is used for structures. Quartzite is also used for construction purposes. Marble is used for refracting materials. Conglomerate is is in construction. Flint back in the stone age was used to sharpen tools and it can be used for making fires.
Impact of Rocks and Minerals on Humans
Rocks and Minerals allow us to have houses and decorations. To have phones, computers any sort of technology. It allowed us to have an industrial revolution and that led us to be where we are today.
