Traffic Updates:
In a continued effort to address issues that have arisen during arrival and dismissal, I have been working closely with our District Facilities Department, the Campton Hills Police Department, and our Assistant Superintendent. You may have noticed our local PD participating in arrival and dismissal lately. They have been here observing to gain a better understanding of the issues we are facing. We continue to field phone calls from local residents about cars blocking their driveways and people turning around in their driveways. In addition to traffic issues, we’ve received numerous calls and emails about safety concerns for our students who are walkers.
Over the coming weeks you will start to see additional signage and safety measures along Carl Sandburg Drive. Signs have been ordered and will be posted stating, “No Parking” in front of the school along Carl Sandburg. The curb will be painted yellow to indicate a No Parking Zone. Additional signs will be posted across the street from the school stating No Parking During School Hours.
The entrance to the school has become very congested this year. Carl Sandburg is not wide enough to accommodate parked cars on both sides of the street and moving traffic in both directions. Our buses are having a hard time safely making the turn to exit the campus.
There are limitations with our campus layout that we have faced for the 20 years Bell-Graham has been open. Every year we try to address new challenges as they arise. Thank you for your cooperation, communication, and understanding as we tackle the 2020/2021 challenges.

From the Nurse
This year we are following the Illinois Department Of Public Health (IDPH) Covid-19 Exclusion Guidelines. This requires that when a child or family member stays/sent home sick, with Covid like symptoms, or awaiting the results of a Covid test ANY student or staff in the household will need to stay home or be sent home. Once the symptomatic student or family member has the documentation required all family members can return to school. It is up to the parents to provide this information to all the schools involved.
Please call the Health office 331-228-2104 or Email leeanna.anzaldi@d303.org with any questions or concern.
Self Certification by 7:30 AM
Dear BG Families,
In a continuing effort to keep staff and students safe while also keeping arrival quick and efficient, please have your child certified in the computer by 7:30 am. This will ensure that students are not entering the classrooms before they are cleared. Certifying your child is both filling out the online form AND signing their backpack tag. If one or both of these steps are not done your child will be sent to the front of the building to check in. Once there, they will have their temperature taken and a phone call will be made to parents to fill out the online form. When their certification is verified they can enter the building. If you enter the online form after 7:30 am your child may have to go through this verification process before they can enter the building.
Thank you for all of your help and taking the extra steps to ensure everyone's safety.
