Leadership Message
Dear Parents,
And it is June - just like that! Where did the time go? It is hard to believe that another school year is coming to an end. It truly seems like yesterday when we welcomed your children in August, excited at the prospect of an-other school year. It has been a wonderful year. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to serve as your principal and am impressed with the spirit of learning that is evident in this building. St. John XXIII exemplifies the EICS' mission statement in every way; “We are a Catholic community committed to developing educational opportunities in the context of Gospel values, where students’ gifts and talents are celebrated and nurtured through lifelong spiritual and personal experiences".
We "see Christ in everyone" as we are called to build a safe and inclusive Catholic learning community and to serve as partners in the formation of life-long learners by living our faith, promoting educational achievement and innovation, fostering stewardship, leadership, and social justice. This mission is truly evident in the dedication demonstrated by our staff, students, as well as the involvement of our parents and the parish community. As a group we focus on the strengths of each child and provide opportunities for each child to shine, encouraging them to always be the best that they can be. The close partner-ships that we share enhance the quality of our Catholic school community at St. John XXIII. Our staff is committed not only to Catholic education but also to the care and welfare of every student in the school. I thank them for their dedication and efforts to make this year a special one for our students.
As I reflect on the "busyness" of our building - I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you to ALL of you who have made a difference in the lives of our children at St. John XXIII.
God bless,
Mrs. Tracy Melnyk, Principal

Fun Day June 2nd
"The sun did not shine, it was too wet to play, so we sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day." Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat.
The sun really did not shine, but thanks to the hard work of the Our Lady of the Angels School Sport for Life students, our kids had a great day! The school and Sportsplex were LOUD with the sound of laughter and fun. THANK YOU OLA - and thanks PSC for the delicious hot dogs and veggies!
