Dear Cigarroa Family,
Thanks to our teachers for communicating with parents last week on each chid's growth and progress. Additionally, it was great to see students wearing their well deserved medals with pride after the award ceremonies. Seeing the faces on the students on Friday during clubs was priceless. I am forever grateful to everyone for providing a great elementary experience for our students. How can they not love school? Y'all are the best.
WAY TO GO COWBOYS!
Thanks for being great.
Doug

Bilingual stipend PD requirements for 2023-24
As we work to ensure all students have equitable access to quality services and supports, qualifying bilingual certified teachers and qualifying licensed professional support staff must complete 3.5 hours of professional development each school year. The Dual Language Academy for the 2023-2024 bilingual stipend will be available on Cornerstone beginning August 1, 2023. This 3.5-hour professional development module is required each year for eligible bilingual teachers as well as qualifying certified and/or licensed bilingual professional support staff who meet the bilingual stipend requirements as listed in the 2023-2024 Compensation Handbook (the Compensation Handbook is set for Board approval in June 2023). The deadline to complete this professional development is November 1, 2023. Only qualifying staff members who complete the mandatory professional development by the deadline will be eligible to receive the bilingual stipend.
For all eligible certified bilingual teachers and/or qualifying licensed professional support staff pursuing the bilingual stipend, the corresponding PD module below must be completed in addition to the certification criteria. Beginning August 1, 2023, eligible employees can enroll in the session by logging into Cornerstone and clicking the appropriate link below.
