Principal's Message
September 17, 2021
Dear Walnut Hills High School Families,
Today marks the end of Midterm Week for the first quarter. Please take a moment to review your child’s progress so far this year with him or her. It is always helpful to ask students how they feel about their grades and what they might want to do differently in the second part of the quarter, which ends on October 15. Conference Night for the first quarter is coming up on Thursday, September 30, 5-8 pm. Teachers will be sharing conference information in the upcoming weeks. We are grateful for your involvement in your child’s education and the chance to partner with you.
This week I received some excellent news about the school’s 2022 National Merit Semifinalists. Congratulations to the Class of 2022 National Merit Semifinalists:
Julia Berman, Justin Chan, Blaise Colberg-Harding, Katherine DiPaola, Maxwell Fairman, John Fox, Lillian Johnson, Husna Khan, Ainsley Lauer, Benjamin Liu, Claire Meng, William Menz, Lowell Meyer, Daniel Murray, Corina Phalen, John Reed, and William Stoffregen
Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability. Over 1.5 million students nationwide entered the program, and approximately 16,000 were named Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. This is a tremendous accomplishment for the students, their families, and the teachers who guided them.
Sincerely,
John Chambers
