It will be beneficial to have a rain poncho or jacket ready, too, especially with our unpredictable weather. Prior to leaving home please make sure students have applied sunscreen/sun block and bug repellent since these items are prohibited.
Meal Plan

Snack: 2 healthy snacks for the morning and afternoon portion of the trip will be needed. NO carbonated beverages, candy or gum!

This educational journey is an extension of our classroom, therefore, during this trip, regular school policies with regard to student behavior and behavioral expectations shall remain in effect.
Students will need to bring a small backpack/drawstring bag to hold items such as a book, sunglasses, hat, poncho, 2 healthy snacks, chap stick, and an additional, refillable water bottle with seal/lid. Lunch boxes will be stored below the bus and are ONLY accessible at lunch. Students may also bring between $10 and $15 for spending money in a sealed, label envelope. Teachers and chaperons will not be responsible for any money that is lost or stolen. Label ALL items/personal possessions with a first and last name.
Students may bring electronic devices such as a phone, tablet and/or camera; however, Parkside Elementary teachers and chaperons are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property. Charging stations or devices will not be available. Students MUST HAVE A COMPLETED/SIGNED PARKSIDE ELEMENTARY TECHNOLOGY USAGE AGREEMENT & BYOT PLAN on file prior to the trip for the device(s) being brought.
ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP FROM SCHOOL BY PARENT/GUARDIAN AS A CAR RIDER AFTER THE TRIP.
When picking up students please pull your car up and through our normal car pool line. Stay in your car and have your official Parkside "Authorized to pick up" pass displayed in your car for your child to get dismissed. Teachers will dismiss students using the official Parkside "Authorized to pick up" pass ONLY. NO SIGN=NO DISMISSAL. Contact the front office or your child’s homeroom teacher by Wednesday, April 20, 2016 if you do not have an official Parkside "Authorized to pick up" pass and/or other forms (i.e. car rider transportation form, Emergency Information Sheet, medication authorization, BYOT) that you need to update.
