Make Your Own Media: Severe Weather
MAJOR ASSESSMENT - DUE THURSDAY 2/21
Why do they happen? How do they form? What should I expect? Do I need to be worried about them happening in Georgia?
MAKE YOUR OWN MEDIA
Media includes the various pieces of technology we consume to learn: videos (SciShow, Crash Course, etc.), podcasts, infographics, song/music video, etc.
YOUR TASK
Your task is to inform the members of your community about ONE type of severe storm.
- How does it form? (steps, process, air masses/fronts involved, etc)
- What type of weather does it bring? (winds, precipitation, temperature, air pressure, etc)
- How do meteorologists identify/track/measure it?
- What are some (minimum 3) real world examples?
Your group will research thunderstorms, hurricanes, or tornadoes, and create your choice of media to inform about your type of storm.
**make sure to follow the guidelines/parameters for your media choice**
