Welcome! This year you will be taking iPad Algebra 1. We will start the year Solving Equations.

The standards we will be focused on this week are: (links will bring to to information about the standard)



While we are learning Unit 1, you should be thinking of the following questions and be able to answer them before your assessment:

  • How do you solve an equation in one variable?

  • How can you use rates, ratios, and proportions to solve real-world problems?

  • How do you use significant digits when reporting the results of calculations involving measurement?

  • How do you interpret algebraic expressions in terms of their context?

  • How do you use an equation to model and solve a real-world problem?

  • How do you rewrite formulas and literal equations?

  • How do you write and solve an inequality that represents a real-world situation?

  • How can you solve compound inequalities and graph the solution set?

Today we are starting the first lesson. We will be Module 1.1: Solving Equations. We will be working on what I expect when I flip the classroom.

We will review my vocabulary expectations. You will use quizlet (either the app or online) to complete vocabulary. (make sure your setting are set to visible to everyone!)

You will have 15 words this Unit and they are due September 16 in Canvas.
