Start with HELLO Week!

“START WITH HELLO”

This week, September 21-25, 2020, is Start With Hello week.

In this time of distance learning, it might be hard to reach out and say “Hello”, but if you try, you might just make someone’s day!

Each day this week, reach out to a friend that you haven’t seen in a while just to say “Hello” and “How have you been?” 5 days, 5 friends!

Start the day with a “Hello” and a smile to those you live with. How many people actually do that? Probably not everyone so it’s a great new habit to start!

It’s easy to feel isolated during this time so we need to do everything we can to stay in touch and connect with others. Sometimes that can even happen non-verbally in the virtual world so, this week, let what we wear unite us with others (school-appropriate, please):

Goal: World Peace. Strategy: Take a deep breath.

This week is a good time to reflect on how to live in greater peace and harmony with ourselves and with those around us. It can be difficult to be patient and peaceful with our friends and family when we're feeling tired, hungry or frustrated with technology. That's why it's important to slow down, take a deep breath and make sure we are getting everything we need. When in doubt: take a walk outside!
