Update from Mrs. Weber
Thank you to the PTO and everyone involved with the VIP and Me dance-it was a fun night!
Thank you to all who came to conferences on 3/16-it was so nice to see you! Thank you to the PTO for providing dinner for the staff
If you change your email and/or cell number, please make sure you inform the office so we have a way to get in contact with you should we need to
Students will have opportunities to shop at the Book Fair this coming week. The schedule was shared-more information is below
JA in a Day April 24-Volunteer Sign up here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050e44aca62ca2f49-jaanda#/
Save the Date-Friday June 9th will be an all day Field Day-rain date June 13. Volunteers will be needed-more information will be coming home after April vacation.
Parent sign ups for conferences were sent last week. Conferences are from 6:00-8:00 on 3/23. This is a night for adults only. Please be sure you are on time for your scheduled appointment. The Book Fair will be open 3/23 from 6:00-7:45 for anyone who wishes to shop.
Just a reminder that smartwatches and smartphones need to be turned off and in your child's backpack during the school day. If your child needs anything, they should be letting their teachers know and they will handle it. If your child contacts you during the school day, please call school prior to coming to get them. Only Nurse Judy should be assessing students and making the determination of who is sent home.
As of March 1, all lunches and breakfasts are free until further notice. Any outstanding balances are due at this time
Any adult coming to pick up a student must have photo ID with them. Each staff member will ask for that ID every time. You can take a picture of it on your phone to have as well. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.
Have a great weekend--Mrs. Weber

Winter Weather Information
Students will be going outside for recess each day unless it is raining. Please be sure to dress your child for the weather-the playground is quite windy .Children are often complaining about the temperatures. If all classes are outside, everyone must be outside regardless of what they are wearing. We have extra coats in lost and found that students can wear for recess.
In case of inclement weather, it will be announced on the Shelton Public Schools website, I will tweet it and you can see the announcement on various TV stations. As a parent, I signed up for text alerts from NBC and usually receive those first.
If we have a delayed opening, school doors open at 10:45 and the school day begins at 11:00. Expect the bus to show up 2 hours later than on a regular day. There is no breakfast available on late start days.
Every day that school is closed for weather adds an additional day to the end of the school year. After 10 snow days, additional days are taken from April vacation week. Please plan accordingly
