Next Week's Learning
We will read many stories and practice hearing nonsense and real words. Students will enjoy classic favorites such as The Cat in the Hat and hear new stories as well such as Horton Hatches an Egg and Bartholmew and the Oobleck! They will explore the themes and life lessons that Dr. Seuss has helped so many of us learn over the years!
In writing, we will participate in narrative and how to writing. Students will narrate a single event to tell what they would do if Cat in the Hat came to their house. They will also complete a writing piece that will explain how to make green eggs and ham. Students will need to use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to complete these activities.
In math students will have completed our unit on measuring. Students will spend this week classifying objects into given categories and count the number of objects in each group. Some examples of ways students may classify objects is by shape, size, and color.
In social studies students will continue the study of living and nonliving things.
