A Message from the Principal

October 4, 2021

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

I hope that you and your family enjoyed Grandparents Day as much as we did! It was such a joy to be together with your children and their grandparents, everyone was so happy to be together again. Mass was very meaningful, and the student choirs and band gave heartfelt performances before everyone visited the book fair and the classrooms. Grandparents Day is truly a highlight of the year.

I learned a lot when I visited the PK portables last week. The students are studying Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Bears and they are very much involved in critical thinking through their use of Thinking Maps. The students were able to present the story of Little Red Riding Hood in a Circle Map and compare and contrast wolves and bears in a Bubble Map. I was very impressed with the PK student’s knowledge about the stories and their pre-reading activities.

Please join us for Monday Morning Prayer on Monday’s at 8:00am and celebrate the Eucharist with us on Thursdays at 8:15am.

I look forward to seeing you at the Home & School Association meeting on Wednesday night. Pizza will be served at 5:30pm and the origami enrichment activities will start at 6:00pm and will be led by Ms. Kelly Boon and her middle school volunteers.

Thank you for all that you do for our school,

Ann Walters
