Rome City Elementary School

Roman News May 2020

From the Principal:

Summer at last! I think we all can agree, with the end of the school year being all eLearning, the pandemic keeping us all home, and the weather preventing us from being outside, we are ready for a much needed summer!

I am so thankful for all of the families that continued to make sure your child/children kept up on their eLearning. It was not an ideal situation for our kids, but one thing is certain, it is what was best at this crazy time to assure everyone stayed safe and healthy.

During the summer, students can use their devices to reach out to staff at any time. We will respond to them as soon as we can. Your child can also use the device to continue to read and practice math skills if they would like.

We are uncertain what the fall will bring. We will take things one step at a time. As for now, it looks like around July 4th is when the governor will decide on our next steps. We are hoping the pandemic continues to decline and we can get started with school as planned. One thing is for sure, when we do return, we will make sure things are clean and safe for our kiddos.

Please take time to breathe and enjoy the summer! We would not have made it through the school year without support from parents! We appreciate you!

Stay healthy and safe,

Heather Green

Preparing for next school year!

We are seeking more students! If you know any children who have moved in the area or would like to transfer to Rome City, we have open enrollment right now. Feel free to contact Ann Robbins and she will get you set up in our system.
